Clarence V. McKee-President, McKee Communications, Inc.                                                                                                                                                                                   Looking ahead: When President Trump announces his choice for the U.S.
Supreme Court Monday, I hope he also considers authorizing temporary U.S.
Secret Service protection for his nominee. In the current vitriolic environment
of progressive hysteria over his appointment and the recent wave of hostile
and threatening confrontations, a nominee’s safety can’t and shouldn’t be
assumed. We are witnessing one of the most toxic, dangerous, and politically
hostile environments since the political assassinations, riots, and social chaos
of the 1960s. With the current political air filled with dangerous ignitable
fumes of intolerant, hateful exaggerated rhetoric, anything can — and might —happen!
