Looking ahead: A recent Gallup poll found that an astounding 86% of Americans distrust the media and believe it has a political bias. It revealed that 84% felt the media is to blame for our country’s political division. As we enter the 2020 political season’s homestretch, the news media must be fair, accurate, and objective. These polls show that many Americans do not believe that the press is living up to these standards. The virtual absence of coverage of the violence in many of our cities by many traditional media outlets is a prime example!
